At Stafford House International, we’re proud to deliver high-quality, in-person CELTA courses from our centres in Cambridge, London and Canterbury. We’re now looking for a passionate, accredited CELTA Teacher Trainer to join us on a flexible, sessional basis.

Locations: Centrally based in Cambridge (Optional contracts in London &/or Canterbury)
Course details: 27 contact hours per week | 4-week courses | Sessional contract
At Stafford House International, we deliver high-quality, in-school CELTA training from our centres in Cambridge, London and Canterbury.
We’re looking for an experienced CELTA Teacher Trainer to join our pool on a sessional basis, delivering intensive 4-week courses of approximately 27 contact hours per week.
This is a great opportunity to work in a focused, professional training environment while maintaining flexibility around your other commitments.
As a CELTA trainers, there may also be opportunities to teach online courses, in addition to in-person training.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering CELTA training courses in line with Cambridge requirements
- Supporting and assessing trainee teachers throughout the course
- Contributing to candidate selection and interviews
- Providing clear, constructive feedback to support trainee development
- Working collaboratively with an experienced academic team

What you’ll need
- First degree (or equivalent)
- DELTA or equivalent Diploma (required) - essential
- Approved and active CELTA (or CertTESOL) Trainer status - essential
- Experience of CELTA candidate selection
- Experience of delivering at least three CELTA (or equivalent) courses
- Broad teaching experience (e.g. Exam preparation, EAP, Business English)
- Strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital platforms
- Ability to complete pre-employment checks in line with safer recruitment and KCSIE 2025
