How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Director of People & Culture


    Venn Group are partnering with a respected Housing Association to recruit an Assistant Director of People & Culture on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This senior role will lead on cultural transformation projects, behavioural frameworks, HR branding and organisational development initiatives.


    What’s on Offer:


    • Salary: £80,000 per annum
    • Contract: 12‑Month FTC
    • Hours: Full Time
    • Location: Manchester
    • Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
    • Start: ASAP


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Lead the project management and delivery of organisation‑wide cultural change programmes
    • Develop and embed behavioural frameworks that support organisational values and performance
    • Oversee internal audits relating to people, culture and HR compliance
    • Strengthen HR branding and internal identity to support engagement and retention
    • Provide strategic leadership across People & Culture functions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
    • Produce high‑quality reports, board papers and strategic updates
    • Work closely with senior leaders to influence culture, behaviours and organisational development
    • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems and people initiatives
    • Support the development of a positive, inclusive and high‑performing workplace culture


    Essential Skills & Experience:


    • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role (Head of HR, AD People, OD Lead, etc.)
    • Strong background in cultural change, organisational development and behavioural frameworks
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead complex programmes
    • Exceptional report‑writing and communication skills
    • Experience within housing, public sector or a regulated environment desirable
    • Self‑motivated, proactive and confident influencing at senior level
    • Ability to work autonomously while driving organisation‑wide initiatives
