How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary Teacher / KS2 Teacher
Specialist Residential SEN School | Andover
    Permanent | Full-Time
    September 2026 Start

A specialist residential SEN school in Andover is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher / KS2 Teacher to join its dedicated team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and shape a new Key Stage 2 provision within a specialist setting supporting young people with autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviours. Every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is committed to delivering personalised education that enables pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The successful candidate will be a creative and adaptable teacher who can build positive relationships, inspire confidence, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

You will deliver high-quality teaching within the Key Stage 2 provision, adapting lessons to support EHCP outcomes and ensure pupils can access learning at an appropriate level. You will create a positive and structured classroom environment, support student progress through meaningful feedback, and contribute to the wider life of the school community. Working collaboratively with a skilled and supportive team, you will play an important role in helping shape and develop this growing provision.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within Key Stage 2. Previous experience within SEN, SEND, SEMH, autism, or alternative provision settings would be highly beneficial. You will be a flexible and resilient practitioner with strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs. The school is looking for someone who is reflective, collaborative, and enthusiastic about contributing to an evolving specialist provision.

If you are an enthusiastic Primary Teacher or KS2 Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity within specialist education, we would love to hear from you.
