How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Residential SEN School | Andover
    Permanent | Full-Time
    September 2026 Start

    A specialist residential SEN school in Andover is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join its dedicated team from September 2026.

    This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a highly supportive environment that works with young people aged 11-19 with autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviours. Every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is committed to delivering personalised, meaningful education that supports both academic and personal development.

    The school is looking for a creative and adaptable teacher who can build strong relationships, inspire confidence, and engage learners through innovative and inclusive teaching.

    As an SEN Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4
    Support students working towards qualifications up to GCSE level
    Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP outcomes
    Create a positive and structured learning environment
    Use creative and flexible approaches to engage learners with additional needs
    Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement
    Contribute to the wider life and development of the school community
    Work collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary teamThe successful candidate will have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Experience teaching students within KS3 and KS4
    Previous experience working within SEN, SEND, SEMH, autism, or alternative provision settings
    Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
    A flexible and resilient teaching approach
    Excellent communication and organisational abilities
    A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
    A collaborative and reflective mindset
