How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 6 Teacher

    QTS Required
    Location: Gravesend, Kent
    Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term
    Start Date: September 2026
    End Date: December 2026
    Potential for Permanent Position from January 2027

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gravesend, Kent from September 2026.

    This is a full-time teaching position covering a Year 6 class until December 2026, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to secure a permanent role from January 2027.

    The Role

    Full-time Year 6 class teacher.

    Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

    Preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and supporting them throughout their final year of primary education.

    Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

    Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leaders to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

    Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.

    Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.

    Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements.

    Is committed to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for pupils.

    Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

    Is passionate about inspiring and motivating young learners.
