How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Intervention Mentor - Milton Keynes

    Salary: £29,244.19
    Location: Milton Keynes
    Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
    Contract: Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Mentor to join a thriving secondary academy in Milton Keynes. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting young people academically, socially, or emotionally, who are committed to making a positive impact on student outcomes.

    As an Intervention Mentor, you will work closely with students, teaching staff, and families to deliver targeted interventions designed to raise attainment, improve engagement, and support personal development. Based in Milton Keynes, you will play a key role in helping students build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their academic goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver targeted interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
    Provide academic mentoring and personalised support to identified students.
    Monitor and track student progress against academic targets.
    Support students in developing self-esteem, resilience, and emotional regulation strategies.
    Work closely with teaching staff and parents to promote positive outcomes.
    Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews and case studies.
    Monitor attendance and engagement of targeted students.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, mentoring, or support capacity.
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    The ability to motivate and engage students facing barriers to learning.
    A proactive and organised approach to monitoring progress and implementing interventions.
