Our client is looking for a talented and efficient Mobile MET Technician / Mobile MET Strip Fitter / Mobile Car Fitter / Mobile Strip & Fit Technician to join a leading automotive repair team. You will be carrying out repairs at customer locations and partner sites, repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
Key Responsibilities of a Mobile MET Technician / Mobile MET Strip Fitter / Mobile Car Fitter / Mobile Strip & Fit Technician:
Travel to different site locations to cover holiday, sickness and absence
Work efficiently in a fast-paced mobile repair environment
Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with manufacturer specifications and customer satisfaction
Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as required
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults within vehicle systems
Carry out vehicle assessments and report additional damage where necessary
Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
Collaborate with colleagues, estimators, and management to ensure an efficient workflow
Maintain accurate records of all work completed and parts used
Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained to a high standard
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies
Essential Skills and Qualifications for a Mobile MET Technician / Mobile MET Strip Fitter / Mobile Car Fitter / Mobile Strip & Fit Technician:
Recognised apprenticeship as an MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip & Fit Technician
Technical qualification (NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ)
Previous experience in a busy bodyshop or mobile repair environment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
Experience with Geometry work and 4-wheel alignment is advantageous
Up-to-date knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and systems
Diagnostic training and fault-finding experience
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and quality
