How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant - Wokingham - September Start

    Are you a Psychology graduate local to Wokingham with a strong interest in child development, mental health, or educational psychology?
    Do you want to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) while gaining valuable, hands-on experience?

    A fantastic and inclusive school in Wokingham is seeking a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is the perfect opportunity for a Psychology graduate who is considering a future career in educational or clinical psychology, SEN teaching, or therapeutic work with children and young people.

    Key Responsibilities as a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

    Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for children with a range of special educational needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH)
    Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
    Help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages emotional and academic growth
    Monitor and track student progress, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
    Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to support holistic developmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    A degree in Psychology (or related field)
    A genuine passion for working with children with SEN
    Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
    A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting behaviour and learning
    Previous experience working with children or young people (in any setting) is desirable but not essentialWhat the School Offers:
