How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client, a market-leading provider of engineered water solutions, is looking to expand its Consultant Sales team with an experienced Technical Sales Engineer. This role will focus on developing relationships within the building services sector, increasing product specifications, and providing technical support for cold water boosting and heating systems.

    The ideal candidate will have experience working with consultants within the M&E or building services sector, possess strong technical knowledge of pumping, clean water boosting, or heating systems, and be confident building long-term customer relationships.

    Technical Sales Engineer
    Job Description
    • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and key stakeholders within the building services sector.
    • Manage existing consultant and customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
    • Become the go-to technical contact for pumping systems, providing expert support and guidance.
    • Increase the number and value of specified opportunities across your designated region.
    • Promote the full range of Fluid Water Group products and solutions.
    • Deliver technical presentations and CPD sessions to consultants and industry professionals.
    • Support consultants in developing technical solutions for cold water boosting and heating systems.
    • Attend and lead virtual and face-to-face meetings with customers and consultants.
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise specification opportunities and project success.

    Technical Sales Engineer
    Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
    • Minimum 5 years' experience working with consultants within the building services sector.
    • Strong knowledge of clean water boosting systems and/or heating systems.
    • Well-connected within the M&E and building services market.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to provide technical support and develop customer-focused solutions.
    • Comfortable networking with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge around HVAC and water system technologies.
