Project Manager

Kenton Black are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager in Aberdeen. The client, a well-established main contractor, are looking for a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of residential and commercial mixed-use developments across the North East. This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing construction projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Leading site teams, including Site Managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Developing and maintaining project programmes and ensuring adherence to timelines
- Managing project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinating with design teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Monitoring quality standards and overseeing inspections and snagging processes
- Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Reporting on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders

About You

- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
- Strong track record delivering residential or mixed-use developments
- Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or a related discipline
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure
- SMSTS (essential)
- CSCS card (essential)
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable

- Experience working for a main contractor or developer
- Knowledge of JCT or NEC forms of contract
- First Aid qualification
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB)
