How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Bid Writer & Knowledge Manager – Make Winning Stories Stick

Love turning complex ideas into compelling narratives that win work? Thrive on extracting insight from experts and transforming it into standout bids? This is your chance to own both the story and the system behind consistent bid success.

We are working with a client based in London who are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Bid Writer & Knowledge Manager to play a pivotal role in driving winning proposals across multiple sectors. This isn’t just writing — it’s shaping how knowledge is captured, reused and elevated into a true competitive advantage.

The Bid Writer & Knowledge Manager role:

    * Craft winning bids – write clear, persuasive, client-focused responses that score highly and stand out

    * Turn expertise into impact – interview SMEs and translate their knowledge into compelling, differentiated content

    * Own the knowledge engine – build and continuously improve a high-quality library of case studies, methodologies, CVs and “best-of” content

    * Drive consistency & quality – ensure every submission is sharp, compliant and aligned with win themes

    * Lead smarter bidding – champion AI tools, improve processes, and reduce duplication across proposals

What makes this Bid Writer & Knowledge Manager role different

You won’t be chasing content — you’ll lead how it’s created, captured and reused. Acting as the bridge between technical experts and the bid team, you’ll bring structure, clarity and storytelling excellence to every opportunity.

    What you will bring

    * Proven experience writing winning bids (public and/or private sector)

    * Exceptional writing and storytelling skills

    * Confidence working with senior stakeholders and extracting insights quickly

    * A talent for simplifying complex ideas into clear, persuasive messages

    * Experience managing content libraries or knowledge systems

    * Strong organisation and attention to detail under pressure

    Who you are

Curious. Commercially aware. Naturally investigative. You’re someone who asks the right questions, challenges vague thinking, and constantly looks for smarter ways to work.

If you want to go beyond writing and help build a best-in-class bid capability that wins consistently, please get in touch via email Lisa at Bid Solutions
