How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Divisional SHE (Health & Safety) Director – North

    Covering the North & Scotland

    We are looking to recruit a Divisional SHE (Health & Safety) Director to join our fantastic team in the North & Scotland. The role will see you provide support to the Group Development Director in the implementation and supervision of the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental policy so as to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers engaged on Company business within both the Division and the allocated Regions. Candidates can be based from any of our Wakefield, Warrington, Newton Aycliffe or Newcastle-Upon-Tyne regional offices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Support, direct and develop the SH&E Manager(s) / SH&E Advisor(s) in order to provide a coherent policy and approach within the Division and the allocated Regions

    * Monitor, develop and implement SH&E systems to ensure our standards, performance and compliance is of the highest order

    * Work with other heads of function on SH&E (Health & Safety) standards - develop and present arrangements to nominated departments etc...

    * Provide support and advice to the Division and to the allocated Regions and represent Regional Management in discussions with employees and external organisations on safety, health & environmental (SH&E) matters

    REQUIREMENTS:

    * Extensive experience in an SH&E Health & Safety role within the Construction/Housing sector

    * A natural leader possessing integrity, presence, drive, determination and natural enthusiasm

    * Ability to interpret SH&E legislation and to convey it accurately to employees, contractors and their relevant parties.

    * Excellent problem solver, inquisitive and resilient
