How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Trainee Litigation Paralegal An opportunity has arisen for a high-achieving graduate to join a leading specialist disputes practice as a Trainee Litigation Paralegal. This is an excellent entry-level position for a Trainee Litigation Paralegal seeking exposure to complex, high-value litigation work within a modern and fast-paced legal environment.

    The Trainee Litigation Paralegal will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of contentious matters, including commercial litigation, property disputes, construction disputes, employment matters, and debt recovery. This role is designed to provide structured development, with the Trainee Litigation Paralegal progressively taking on greater responsibility and developing their own caseload under supervision.

    Role responsibilities – Trainee Litigation Paralegal The Trainee Litigation Paralegal will support senior solicitors and partners with day-to-day casework and client matters, including:

    Opening and closing files
    Conducting AML and client due diligence checks
    Drafting correspondence and legal documents
    Preparing court bundles and supporting case progression
    Assisting with client meetings and handling enquiries
    Conducting legal research across a range of disputesAs the Trainee Litigation Paralegal develops, there will be increasing exposure to case management and client-facing responsibilities.

    Candidate profile The ideal Trainee Litigation Paralegal will be a highly motivated graduate with a strong academic background and a clear interest in litigation and dispute resolution.

    Essential requirements for the Trainee Litigation Paralegal include:

    Minimum 2:1 degree (First-Class preferred)
    Strong A-Level results (A/A* profile desirable)
    Genuine interest in litigation and contentious law
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Strong analytical and research ability
    Confident IT skills in a modern legal environment
