MEICA LEAD

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced MEICA Commissioning Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects within a key AMP framework. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment schemes across the project lifecycle.

Duties will include:

Leading and managing all MEICA and commissioning activities from design through to handover

Developing and implementing commissioning strategies, programmes, and documentation

Overseeing FAT, SAT, system testing, and performance validation activities

Coordinating with design, construction, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration

Managing subcontractors and commissioning engineers to ensure safe and compliant delivery

Supporting HAZOP / HAZCON reviews and technical assurance processes

Ensuring all commissioning activities meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards

Reporting on commissioning progress, risks, and programme delivery

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager within the UK water sector

Strong MEICA background across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems

Experience working on AMP frameworks (AMP7 / AMP8 highly desirable)

Demonstrable experience on water or wastewater treatment projects

Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, including FAT, SAT, and handover documentation

Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills

CSCS/ECS card (essential)

SMSTS (preferred)
