How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    💰 £32,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
🏢 Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy

    The Opportunity

I’m working with a well-regarded, growing civil and structural engineering consultancy who are looking to bring in a Structural Engineer with around 3 years’ experience to join their Warrington office.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to step into a role where they can take on real responsibility, develop technically, and work on a wide variety of projects across multiple sectors.

    About the Company

This is a well-established, medium-sized consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the UK.

They operate across a diverse project portfolio including:

    Commercial and mixed-use developments
Residential schemes (from low-rise to high-rise)
    Public sector and infrastructure projects
The business takes a collaborative, design-led approach, working closely with architects, developers, and contractors to deliver practical and efficient solutions across steel, concrete, and other structural materials.

They have built a strong market reputation for:

Delivering technically robust and buildable designs
Taking projects from concept through to completion
Maintaining a supportive, close-knit team culture despite continued growth

    The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you’ll be working as part of a collaborative design team, contributing to the delivery of projects from early concept stages through to detailed design.

    Key Responsibilities:

Producing structural calculations and designs for a range of building structures
Working with materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry
Supporting the preparation of drawings and technical documentation
Liaising with architects, contractors, and other design team members
Assisting in project delivery to ensure timely and high-quality outputs
Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical capability

    What They’re Looking For

Around 2–4 years’ experience within a UK structural consultancy
Strong understanding of structural design principles and building regulations
Experience working on building structures projects (any sector)
Familiarity with design software (e.g. Tedds, Robot, ETABS, etc.)
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Ambition to progress towards Chartered status (ICE/IStructE)

    What’s On Offer

Salary between £32,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
Opportunity to work on diverse, technically interesting projects
Clear pathway for career progression and Chartership support
    Supportive, collaborative working environment
Exposure to all stages of project delivery
