How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is an established privately-owned MEP services contractor who have been in business for over 20 years and they are searching for a Electrical Project Engineer to join their team based in West Scotland.
    They specialise in pre-fabrication, new installation and refurbishment, providing market leading services across various sectors including Commercial, Education, Leisure, Accommodation, Residential, MOD/MOJ, Industrial, Retail and Health. They have work secured until 2028 within the region and lots in the pipeline!

    Responsibilities:
    * Assist and manage electrical building services projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
    * Coordinate electrical design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
    * Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
    * Monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource requirements to achieve delivery targets.
    * Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
    * Conduct site inspections and oversee installation quality, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
    * Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
    * Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to site.
    * Identify and resolve technical and construction issues throughout the project lifecycle.
    * Support project reporting, progress meetings, and commercial change management processes.
    * Assist with commissioning activities, snagging, and final project handover documentation.
