How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assembler to join our manufacturing team producing high-quality metal housing components for trailer connector parts. This role involves operating production machinery, assembling and inspecting metal components, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards.
    Key responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, monitoring machine performance, conducting visual and dimensional quality checks, maintaining accurate production records, and following all health and safety procedures.
     
    Previous exposure to using hand tools such as impact guns, torque wrenches, measuring equipment, would be highly preferable. Those with a background in mechanical manufacturing, maintenance or a proven background as a line assembler would be favoured.
     
    You will also support continuous improvement activities and help maintain a clean and organised work environment.
     
    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience with metal components, assembly processes, or quality inspection is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
     
    Hours of work: 07:15am – 16:00pm Monday to Friday
    Rate of pay: £13.08 per hour
