How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Provision

The provision supports students who require a more personalised and nurturing approach to education. Many learners accessing the setting have experienced barriers within mainstream education and benefit from a highly supportive environment focused on re-engagement, emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes.

    The Role

As Curriculum Lead, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering an engaging and adaptable curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students within the provision.

You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to ensure students receive high-quality learning experiences that promote progress, confidence and long-term success.

    Key Responsibilities

Developing creative and personalised learning opportunities

    Monitoring student progress and outcomes

Promoting inclusive and trauma-informed teaching practices

Supporting behaviour for learning and student wellbeing

    Coaching and mentoring staff members

Building positive relationships with students, families and external professionals

    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual who:

Has experience working within Alternative Provision, SEMH or SEND settings

Is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people

Has strong curriculum knowledge and leadership ability

Can build positive and consistent relationships with students

    Understands behaviour as communication

    Is resilient, adaptable and solution-focused

Has a commitment to inclusion and educational equity

Applications are welcomed from candidates with Primary or Secondary backgrounds.

    What the School Offers

A supportive and collaborative leadership team

    Excellent professional development opportunities

A highly rewarding specialist education environment

Opportunities for progression and leadership development

A strong focus on staff wellbeing

The opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives

    Safeguarding Statement

This role is subject to enhanced safeguarding checks including an Enhanced DBS, reference checks, online searches and compliance in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance.

If you are passionate about creating meaningful educational experiences for young people who require a different approach to learning, we would love to hear from you
