How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Health & Safety Manager

Malvern | Up to £95,000 + Comprehensive Package

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role within a forward-thinking and well-established construction business?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected contractor seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join their Malvern-based team. This is a key strategic appointment within the business, offering the opportunity to shape, lead and continuously improve health, safety and wellbeing standards across a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s Health & Safety function, working closely with senior leadership teams, operational departments and site teams to ensure the highest standards of safety are consistently maintained across all projects. This role offers genuine influence, autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing and values-driven organisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety strategy across the business.

    * Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice.

    * Providing expert guidance and support to site teams, project managers and senior stakeholders.

    * Conducting site audits, inspections and investigations where required.

    * Promoting a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across all levels of the organisation.

    * Supporting pre-construction and project teams with risk assessments and method statements.

    * Delivering training, briefings and ongoing competency development initiatives.

    * Reviewing and updating company policies, procedures and management systems.

    * Leading incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

    * Liaising with external bodies, auditors and regulatory authorities as required.

    What We're Looking For

    * Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role within the construction industry.

    * Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and compliance frameworks.

    * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) as a minimum requirement.

    * Membership of IOSH (ideally Chartered status or working towards).

    * Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels.

    * Excellent communication, reporting and analytical abilities.

    * Experience managing audits, investigations and compliance systems.

    * A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to safety management.

    What's on Offer

    * Salary up to £95,000 depending on experience.

    * Attractive executive-level benefits package including car allowance, pension and bonus scheme.

    * Senior leadership position with genuine influence across the business.

    * Opportunity to shape and develop Health & Safety strategy at a group level.

    * Ongoing professional development and support towards chartership where applicable.

    * A stable, growing organisation with a strong reputation for quality and delivery.

    * Long-term career progression and security.

    * The chance to join a company that places safety, quality and people at the heart of everything it does.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Health & Safety professional to take ownership of a high-impact role within a respected and growing contractor. You will be joining a business that is committed to maintaining the highest standards while continuously improving its culture, systems and performance.
