How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Year 3/4 Teacher (Mornings Only - Autumn Term)

    Location: Bredbury, Stockport
    Contract: Part-time (Mornings), Autumn Term initially (with potential extension)

    A welcoming and supportive single-form entry primary school in Bredbury, Stockport, is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3/4 Teacher to join their team for the Autumn term, working mornings only.

    The school is led by a highly experienced and well-respected Headteacher, who has fostered a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for both pupils and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging learning experiences within Key Stage 2.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will take responsibility for a mixed Year 3/4 class of average size, including a small group of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role will involve delivering high-quality teaching during morning sessions, ensuring that all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

    Planning time will be provided to support workload, and the school also offers access to a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities to further enhance professional growth.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    Demonstrate strong classroom practice and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
    Be confident in supporting a range of needs, including pupils with EHCPs
    Show excellent communication and organisational skills
    Be able to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
    Work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
