How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are seeking a Head of Marketing for a client to build the marketing function from a small in-house team.

As Head of Marketing, you will own brand, content, demand generation, communications, and employer branding.

    The key objectives are to:

    • Position the company clearly in a crowded market category
    • Support the commercial team with high-quality sales and marketing materials
    • Elevate the external profile of the leadership team

    ABOUT THE CLIENT

A London-based climate technology business, post-Series A, scaling commercial activity across Europe and North America. Strong customer traction. The brand position has yet to catch up to the commercial reality.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Function Leadership

    • Build the marketing function from a small in-house team
    • Own brand, content, demand generation, communications, and employer brand
    • Develop and execute the marketing strategy
    • Report to the CEO and contribute to executive decision-making
  • Brand & Content

    • Position the company in a crowded category
    • Develop the brand architecture and visual system
    • Lead content programmes — thought leadership, technical content, case studies
    • Manage external agencies and freelance support

    Pipeline & Commercial Support

    • Build demand generation programmes for the commercial team
    • Develop sales materials and case studies
    • Coordinate with sales on account-based marketing strategies
    • Measure marketing contribution to pipeline

    Strategic Support

    • Lead external profile activity for the CEO and CTO
    • Support the employer brand for recruitment
    • Manage media and investor communications
    • Contribute to category-shaping activity at events and in press

    PROFILE

    • Senior marketer from a climate technology, energy, or industrial scale-up
    • Generalist comfortable across brand, content, and pipeline
    • B2B technical marketing experience
    • Stronger on judgement than on agency credentials
    • Demonstrable record of building marketing functions from a small base

    DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

    • Background in climate tech, deep tech, or industrial B2B
    • Experience working closely with technical founders and CTOs
    • Network across European climate tech media and analysts
    • Exposure to fundraising and IPO-stage communications
