How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Capital Dynamics:

Capital Dynamics is an independent global asset management firm focusing on private assets, including Private equity (primaries, secondaries and direct investments) and Clean Energy.

Established in 1988, the Firm has extensive knowledge and experience developing solutions tailored to meet the exacting needs of a diverse and global client base of institutional and private wealth investors. Capital Dynamics - Private Equity:

Our global direct co-investments team makes investments in mid-market companies alongside established lead investors and specialist sponsors who have a history of strong performance, relevant sector expertise, consistent strategy and execution, and whose teams have shown that they can invest successfully through different economic cycles. The co-investment team invests in companies in North America, Europe, and the rest of the world, particularly in developed Asia. Companies sought have sustainable competitive positions, strong growth opportunities, and high ESG standards. While sector agnostic, preferred industries include consumer, healthcare, technology, and business services and, to some extent, industrial companies and those in the energy and power markets.

    The Opportunity:

The Intern will work alongside the Capital Dynamics - European Direct Investments team to perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess and determine investment opportunities in the European market. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the full end-to-end investment process.

Candidate must be a qualified German speaker.

    Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Gain a broad understanding of the private equity sector and the relevant value drivers.
    • Screen direct investment opportunities in the European market.

    The successful candidate will be:

    • Intellectually curious, proactive, and self-motivated, eager to learn and take initiative.
    • Commercially minded with a genuine desire to understand financial markets and investment management.
    • Genuinely interested in private equity and the dynamics of secondary markets.
    • Comfortable experimenting with new AI tools and technologies, and keen to apply them practically in your work.
    • A clear and structured communicator - able to synthesise complex information into concise, well-presented outputs.

    Skills, Education & Qualifications:

    • Relevant experience and/or a keen interest in Private Equity transactions is advantageous, ideally from the following:
    • Other Private Equity funds
    • M&A or structured/leveraged finance teams of leading banks
    • Transaction Services team of a leading professional services firm

    • Understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation techniques and competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Broad quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills; a strong team player.
    • Can illustrate practical experience using AI tools such as large language models (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc), prompt engineering, or AI-assisted research workflows. Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply them responsibly in a professional context.
    • Awareness of how AI is shaping financial services and private asset management is highly desirable.

    Education & Qualifications:

    • Strong academic background - final year student, or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree or MBA at a recognised college/university in a relevant discipline (Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or similar).

    Language Requirement:
