Are you an experienced Grounds Manager, Sports Turf Professional, or Grounds Supervisor looking to take ownership of a large and varied site?

This well-established organisation is known for its excellent facilities and commitment to maintaining outstanding standards across its grounds and outdoor spaces. With a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement, they are looking for a motivated Head Grounds Manager to oversee the upkeep, development, and presentation of their extensive site.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Activity Centre grounds and surrounding areas to a high standard. You will lead and support junior members of the team, ensuring they receive the training and guidance needed to perform their roles effectively. This is a hands-on management position where you will plan workloads, organise maintenance schedules, and ensure the site remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management and have experience maintaining sports turf, playing fields, or similar outdoor environments. Previous supervisory or management experience would be highly beneficial. You will be a proactive individual who enjoys taking responsibility, can work independently, and is happy to lead from the front.

The Role:
* Manage and maintain the Activity Centre grounds and surrounding areas
* Lead, train, and support junior members of the grounds team
* Ensure high standards of sports turf and grounds maintenance
* Plan and organise workloads and maintenance schedules across the site
* 40-hour week, typically 8am to 5pm, with reduced winter hours
The Person:
* Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management
* Experience maintaining sports turf, playing fields, or similar grounds
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Commutable to Canons Park, Edgware
