How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Agent – Rail – Tackley, Oxfordshire

    We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a footbridge and bridleway project in Tackley, Oxfordshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and proactive rail professional with a strong understanding of Network Rail standards, procedures, and project delivery requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality expectations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Managing day-to-day site activities and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.

    * Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with Network Rail standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.

    * Overseeing site planning, resource allocation, and programme delivery.

    * Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

    * Liaising with project stakeholders, engineers, and management teams to ensure smooth project execution.

    * Producing and maintaining site documentation, progress reports, and records.

    * Identifying and managing project risks and implementing effective solutions.

    * Driving programme performance and ensuring project milestones are achieved.

    Requirements:

    * Proven experience working as a Site Agent within the rail sector.

    * Strong knowledge of Network Rail processes, standards, and procedures.

    * Experience managing rail infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

    * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

    * Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain programme delivery.

    * Available to start at short notice.

    * Able to work on-site in Tackley, Oxfordshire, or commute reliably to the project location.

    Contract Details:

    * Location: Tackley, Oxfordshire

    * Duration: June 2026 – December 2026

    * Working Pattern: Monday to Sunday as required

    * Hours: 08:00 – 18:00 (10-hour days)
