How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Yard Operative

    £26,000 + Training + Early Friday Finish + Stability

    Full Time | Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:15, Friday 08:00 - 12:00

    Sheet, Commutable from: Weston, Stroud, Buriton, Steep Marsh, Durford Wood, Clanfield, Longmoor, Liphook

    The company have built a strong reputation through quality workmanship and are continuing to grow. They are now looking for a reliable Yard Operative to support their factory and yard operations.

    In this role, you will be responsible for preparing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, managing stock and ensuring the yard is kept safe and organised. You will also have the opportunity to develop new skills, including forklift operation if not already qualified.

    This role would suit someone practical, dependable and looking for a secure role within a close-knit team.

    The Role:

    Loading and unloading vehicles
    Preparing and organising customer orders
    Stock handling and warehouse duties
    Operating forklift trucks (training provided if required)
    Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
    Occasional local deliveriesThe Person:

    Hands-on and reliable with a strong work ethic
    Good attention to detail
    Able to work independently and as part of a team
    Forklift licence desirable (not essential)
