We're supporting a leading UK membership organisation in the search for a People Policy & Projects Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the employee experience by developing innovative people policies, leading strategic HR projects, and helping shape a modern, inclusive workplace.
The Opportunity
Working within a forward-thinking People team, you'll take ownership of the organisation's people policy framework, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation while championing best practice across the employee lifecycle.
Alongside policy development, you'll lead and contribute to a range of HR projects focused on improving processes, enhancing the employee experience, and supporting organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and implement employment policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice.
- Lead HR policy reviews and maintain a strategic policy roadmap.
- Deliver people-focused projects and change initiatives.
- Research and benchmark innovative HR practices.
- Analyse workforce trends and recommend practical solutions.
- Improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop guidance, training materials and communications to support managers and employees.
- Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver impactful people solutions.
About You
We're looking for an HR professional who can demonstrate:
✔ Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy development and contemporary HR practices.
✔ Experience delivering HR projects and policy initiatives from concept through to implementation.
✔ Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and build strong working relationships.
✔ Experience advising on employee relations matters and providing practical HR guidance.
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and research to inform decision-making.
