Key Responsibilities
Performance Management & Accountability
Review and strengthen existing performance management processes
Introduce clear frameworks for objectives, accountability and performance reviews
- Support managers in setting expectations and managing performance effectively
- Guide and advise on performance improvement plans and difficult conversations where required
- Help embed a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
Leadership Development & Manager Support
- Coach and support managers in leading high-performing teams
- Improve leadership capability across the business
- Provide practical guidance on people management challenges
- Equip managers with the tools and confidence to lead effectively
- Support senior leadership in driving organisational performance and engagement
Talent Development & Retention
- Design and implement training and development frameworks
- Create clear career pathways and progression structures where appropriate
- Identify retention risks and recommend solutions
- Support employee engagement initiatives and succession planning
- Help build an environment where talented people are motivated to stay and grow
Organisational Structure & Operational Excellence
- Review organisational design and role responsibilities
- Develop role clarity, accountability frameworks and reporting structures
- Create and refine SOPs, operating standards and people processes
- Ensure consistency across teams and departments
- Support the leadership team in building scalable structures for future growth
Recruitment & Onboarding Frameworks
- Review and strengthen onboarding processes
- Develop hiring frameworks, interview structures and assessment processes
- Ensure future recruitment activities align with business objectives and culture
- Support workforce planning and organisational growth strategies
Trusted Advisor & Employee Support
- Act as an independent and objective point of contact for employees across the business
- Build trust and credibility with teams at all levels, creating a safe space for feedback, concerns and constructive challenge
- Help leadership understand employee sentiment and identify opportunities to improve engagement and communinication
- Provide balanced, impartial guidance on people-related matters while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
- Support restructures, organisational change and sensitive employee situations where required
Culture & Organisational Effectiveness
- Partner with leadership to strengthen company culture and ways of working
- Improve collaboration, communication and alignment across teams
- Help create a high-performing culture that balances accountability with support
- tDrive initiatives that improve employee engagement and organisational effectiveness
- Act as a trusted sounding board for both employees and senior leadership
About You
- Significant experience in HR, People Operations, People & Culture or HR Business Partner roles
- Proven experience supporting founder-led, entrepreneurial or high-growth business
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to implement practical, lasting solutions
- An individual with gravitas, credibility and excellent emotional intelligence
- Someone who quickly earns the trust and respect of both leadership teams and employees
- Able to balance empathy with accountability and challenge when required
- Comfortable navigating difficult conversations and sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Strong coaching skills, with experience developing both managers and individual contributors
- Experienced in performance management, organisational design and change management
