Position Summary:
Azenta Life Sciences is seeking a dynamic and driven Azenta Business System (ABS) Leader to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has been implementing continuous improvement tools and application for the past 3–5 years. This person is passionate about driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of lean thinking to achieve business results. As an ABS Leader, you will play a key role in deploying lean tools, facilitating kaizen events, and supporting strategic initiatives across functions to improve quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Drive targeted, sustainable improvements impacting P&L and key metrics (CVDs, SQDIPE) by leveraging ABS tools, leadership through influence, and robust change management processes.
· Lead the diagnosis of business inefficiencies, providing expert guidance on deploying the most effective ABS tools to eliminate obstacles and accelerate performance.
· Collaborate with Site Leadership to develop and execute an ABS Roadmap, aligning continuous improvement initiatives with business objectives.
· Champion the evolution of ABS tools, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
· Empower leaders at all levels by delivering formal and informal ABS training and coaching, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
· Facilitate high-impact kaizen events, ensuring strategic prioritization, process compliance, and long-term sustainment of results.
· Promote and facilitate employee development in ABS tools and kaizen leadership, including pursuing and awarding Azenta Certification.
· Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Azenta locations to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of operational excellence.
Qualifications:
· BS or BA Degree in Business, Science or Engineering required
· Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from an Internal and External Customer point of view
· 1–5 years of experience in operations, support, or continuous improvement roles.
· Hands-on experience with lean tools such as 5S, structured problem solving, standard work, and visual management.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, active listening, project management and leadership skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams globally
· Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
