Estimator – Main Contractor with rapidly growing turnover – Moorgate
Remuneration: £60,000 - £90,000 + Package, £300 - £450 per day direct
O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a well-established Main Contractor who have enjoyed significant financial success over the last two years despite the challenges faced by many businesses within the construction industry.
They have a strong pipeline of work, an excellent reputation within the market and continue to win projects through repeat business and negotiated work.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking to hire an Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team based out of their Moorgate office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who is looking for long-term stability, a strong pipeline of work and the flexibility to join on either a permanent or freelance basis.

- Start: ASAP but can wait for the right person

Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions from first principles
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Producing take-offs and bills of quantities where required
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and project risks
- Working closely with the Commercial, Design and Operational teams throughout the bid process
- Assisting with presentations and client meetings where required
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Estimator for a Main Contractor
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and market rates
- Experience pricing projects across one or more sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare or Mixed-Use
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Able and willing to commute to Moorgate
