How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Reed Talent Solutions are supporting a collaboration between the City of London Police, National Crime Agency and the Home Office designed to tackle online crime by blending law enforcement and industry capabilities to stop, block, and disrupt criminal enablers.


    As part of this campaign, they are looking to hire a fraud/cyber intelligence professional with deep expertise within Technology (large tech and social media) sector. To be considered you would need to either work within or have significant credibility within this sector.


    This position will be offered as a 12-month contract and on a part time basis for an average of 3 days a week. The rate for this role will be offered up to £1400 per day inside IR35. Some on site presence is required in London and any travel outside of greater London can be expensed.


    Overview


    This is a UK Government-led public-private partnership designed to tackle online crime by blending law enforcement and industry capabilities to stop, block, and disrupt criminal enablers. Initially focused on fraud and volume cybercrime, they will leverage targeted data and intelligence sharing to prevent online crime at scale.


    Industry partnership and cross-sector data sharing are at the heart of their mission. To strengthen these collaborations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping frameworks for data sharing and driving engagement across the technology sector. This is an exciting opportunity to influence national strategies and work at the intersection of government, law enforcement, and industry.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Build and maintain strategic relationships across technology ecosystem
    • Use sector knowledge to identify barriers to effective data sharing and propose practical solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to government on industry perspectives, trends, and opportunities.
    • Convene and chair high-level meetings with industry partners, government, and law enforcement.
    • Make recommendations to influence policy and standards and law enforcement activity, to enhance collaboration and combat fraud and cyber threats.


    Essential Criteria


    Expert knowledge of data-sharing legal frameworks

    • In-depth understanding of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, and sector-specific regulations for fraud prevention.
    • Proven ability to navigate compliance requirements when sharing data across organisations.


    Cross-sector credibility and influence

    • Demonstrated experience working with public sector bodies (e.g., law enforcement, regulators)
    • Significant senior level experience in private sector organisations in the technology sectors.
    • Established network and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.


    Strategic leadership and vision

    • Ability to see the “big picture” and align actions with long-term program goals.
    • Skilled in developing and executing strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.


    Decisive and action-oriented approach

    • Track record of driving initiatives forward with urgency and clarity.
    • Comfortable making firm decisions and prioritising action over prolonged discussion.


    Strong governance and risk management capability

    • Experience in setting frameworks for secure and compliant data exchange.
    • Ability to balance operational needs with regulatory obligations.


    Desirable Skills & Attributes


    Influencing and stakeholder engagement

    • Ability to gain buy-in from a diverse range of stakeholders with differing priorities.
    • Skilled communicator who can articulate complex issues clearly.


    Programme delivery experience

    • Proven success in leading multi-stakeholder projects from concept to implementation.
    • Familiarity with fraud prevention technologies and data-sharing platforms.


    Additional Requirements


    • Security Clearance: You will need be able to undergo successful CTC/SC clearance prior to starting this role
    • Travel: Occasional UK travel for key meetings/workshops.
