How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Investigating and resolving customer complaints and quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies

    * Providing hands-on support to production teams to resolve shop floor quality concerns

    * Driving root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement projects

    * Monitoring quality and environmental performance metrics and reporting on key KPIs

    * Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and service

    * Supporting new product introductions and process improvements

    * Promoting a positive quality culture throughout the organisation

    * Ensuring compliance with relevant environmental legislation and company sustainability objectives

    About You

    You will ideally have:

    * Proven experience in a Quality Manager, Quality & Environmental Manager or Senior Quality Engineer position within manufacturing

    * Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems

    * Experience conducting audits and managing certification processes

    * Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

    * The ability to work effectively with production teams and customers to resolve quality issues

    * A hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on the shop floor

    * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

    * Experience within manufacturing environments involving multiple production processes would be advantageous

    What's on Offer?

    * £50,000 - £55,000 salary

    * Attractive benefits package

    * Stable and well-established business

    * Diverse manufacturing environment with varied technical challenges

    * Opportunity to influence quality and environmental performance across the organisation

    * Supportive leadership team and long-term career prospects

    If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact, combining quality leadership with hands-on operational involvement, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
