How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and remedial works on existing installations.

    * Complete electrical certification, handover packs, and as‑built documentation.

    * Conduct site surveys, prepare material take‑offs, and support project planning.

    * Adhere to BS 7671 and relevant DNO/G98/G99 requirements and manufacturer specs.

    * Deliver high standards of workmanship and maintain a tidy, safe site.

    About you

    * Fully qualified electrician: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) with current 18th Edition (BS 7671).

    * EV qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent) with hands-on install experience.

    * Solar PV qualification/experience (e.g., C&G 2399/Solar PV Level 3) and inverter commissioning.

    * Testing & inspection (e.g., C&G 2391/2391-52) strongly preferred.

    * MCS experience advantageous (install or compliance).

    * Full UK driving licence and comfortable working at height.

    * Strong customer communication and neat, methodical workmanship.

    What we offer

    * Salary: £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

    * Van, fuel card, tools/PPE and mobile/tablet.

    * Overtime and call-out opportunities paid at enhanced rates.

    * 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

    * Training and CPD on the latest EV, PV, and battery systems.

    * Pension and employee benefits package.

    * Clear progression into lead engineer or site supervisor roles
