How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS1 Teacher - (Leadership Opportunity) Cheltenham

    September 2026 Start

    A progressive and welcoming primary school in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and skilled practitioner who is ready to extend their impact beyond the classroom and take on a leadership-focused role within a supportive school community.

    This KS1 Teacher position is ideal for an experienced teacher (not suitable for ECTs) who is passionate about high-quality first teaching, early reading, and phonics, and who is keen to contribute to curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and support whole-school improvement.

    The school places a strong emphasis on early literacy and phonics, including Read Write Inc. (RWI), and is committed to ensuring every child thrives academically and personally.

    As a KS1 Teacher, you will:

    Deliver consistently high-quality teaching across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
    Lead or support phonics and early reading, including RWI
    Set high expectations to secure strong outcomes in reading, writing, and maths
    Support pupils with SEND and a range of learning needs
    Work closely with SLT and KS1 colleagues to drive improvement
    Take on additional leadership or subject responsibilities aligned with your strengths and experienceThe Ideal Candidate Will:
