How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Residential Sales Advisor (B2C)

    Location: Edinburgh & Glasgow - multiple opportunities available
    Salary: £28,000 base plus achievable On Target Commission c£28,000 + monthly travel allowance
    Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:30am-7pm (field-based)

    We're now looking for confident, motivated people in Edinburgh and Glasgow to join our team as Residential Sales Advisors.

    About the Role

    This is a people-focused, field-based sales role where no two days are the same. You'll be the face of Hyperoptic within residential communities-meeting customers, building relationships, and helping them discover the benefits of ultra-fast broadband.

    You'll spend your time in buildings where Hyperoptic is available, speaking directly with residents, answering questions, and helping them get set up with our services.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Engaging with residents face-to-face to promote Hyperoptic services
    Visiting buildings daily and planning your schedule effectively
    Delivering marketing materials and attending resident events
    Explaining our products clearly and tailoring your approach to customer needs
    Building rapport and creating positive customer experiences
    Gathering valuable feedback to help improve our service
    Working towards achievable sales targets (full training and support provided)

    What We're Looking For

    A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
    Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles
    Confidence in speaking to people and building relationships
    A proactive, motivated mindset with a passion for hitting targets
    Ability to understand customer needs and adapt your approach
    Someone who enjoys working independently and out in the field
