How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a high-performing technology sales professional with a proven track record of winning and growing business across UK government and public sector organisations?
    An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a globally respected technology leader delivering cutting-edge solutions across network visibility, cybersecurity, service assurance, performance management, and digital resilience. Trusted by some of the world's most complex organisations, this business helps customers secure, optimise, and future-proof their critical infrastructure.

    The Opportunity
    As UK Account Manager – Public Sector, you will take ownership of a portfolio of government and public sector accounts, building long-term relationships while identifying and securing new opportunities across central government, local authorities, agencies, and associated public bodies.
    Working alongside experienced Sales Engineers, channel partners, and technical specialists, you'll lead complex sales engagements from initial discovery through to contract award and ongoing account growth.
    What You'll Be Doing
    * Developing and executing strategic account plans across assigned public sector customers
    * Building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, technical stakeholders, procurement teams, and operational leaders
    * Identifying, qualifying, and closing both new business and expansion opportunities
    * Positioning innovative solutions across cybersecurity, network visibility, service assurance, and infrastructure performance management
    * Managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and procurement processes
    * Maintaining accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and account development plans
    * Collaborating with technical and channel teams to deliver successful customer outcomes
    * Driving territory growth while consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
    What We're Looking For
    You'll be a commercially driven technology sales professional who understands how to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within the UK public sector.
    Key requirements include:
    ✔ 5+ years' experience selling enterprise technology solutions
    ✔ Strong background within cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, service assurance, observability, or enterprise IT
    ✔ Demonstrable success selling into UK public sector organisations, government departments, local authorities, or related bodies
    ✔ Strong understanding of government procurement frameworks and complex buying processes
    ✔ Proven record of quota achievement and pipeline generation
    ✔ Experience managing large, strategic customer accounts
    ✔ Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
    ✔ Ability to work effectively with technical teams, partners, and customer stakeholders
    ✔ Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
    Why This Role?
    This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist global technology organisation with an outstanding reputation for helping organisations improve security, resilience, visibility, and performance across mission-critical environments.
    You'll benefit from:
    * £90,000–£120,000 basic salary
    * Uncapped commission structure
    * Comprehensive benefits package
    * Strategic, high-value customer engagements
    * Established and respected technology portfolio
    * Strong technical and partner ecosystem support
    * Significant growth opportunities within a global organisation
    * The chance to make a real impact across critical UK public sector infrastructure
    Ready to Take the Next Step?
    If you're an accomplished public sector technology sales professional looking for a highly strategic role with outstanding earning potential and the opportunity to work with industry-leading solutions, we'd love to hear from you
