How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Carry out machine inspections, testing, system checks, and performance validation prior to customer handover

    * Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults

    * Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on customer equipment

    * Provide customer training on the operation and basic maintenance of installed machinery

    * Support workshop activities, including machine preparation, assembly, and testing when required

    * Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out

    * Travel to customer sites across the UK, including working away from home when necessary

    * Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and health & safety procedures

    What We're Looking For

    * Experience installing, servicing, commissioning, or maintaining industrial machinery, machine tools, automated systems, or similar equipment

    * Strong mechanical fault-finding skills, with electrical troubleshooting experience highly advantageous

    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

    * Good communication skills and a professional customer-facing approach

    * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

    * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK

    Desirable

    * Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent)

    * Experience with machine tools, automated systems, materials handling equipment, or industrial machinery

    * Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems

    How to Apply

To apply for the role, please apply above or alternatively contact a member of the team at Engineering @365.
