How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Manager
    Location: Hertfordshire
    Monday to Friday + Benefits

    Are you a hands-on Production Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where structure is still developing and improvement opportunities are clear? A growing manufacturer is looking for a strong operational leader to take ownership of their production function and help shape how it runs going forward.

    What You'll Be Doing as a Production Manager

    * Owning end-to-end production flow including SMT, AOI, assembly, test, and packing
    * Managing production schedules and ensuring clear workflow across all manufacturing areas
    * Driving on-time delivery, throughput, and efficiency across the shopfloor
    * Leading production teams through team leaders to ensure consistent execution and communication
    * Monitoring WIP levels and ensuring visibility across all stages of production
    * Identifying risks early and putting recovery plans in place where required
    * Working closely with Planning and CI teams to manage and adjust production schedules
    * Collaborating with Quality and Engineering to resolve production and process issues
    * Driving continuous improvement activities to improve flow, output, and efficiency
    * Using production data and KPIs to drive decision-making and performance improvements

    What We're Looking For as a Production Manager

    * Experience in a Production Manager or Supervisor/Senior Manufacturing leadership role
    * Background in electronics, electro-mechanical, or high-mix manufacturing environments
    * Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve structure and performance in developing environments
    * Proven ability to lead teams through supervisors or team leaders
    * Comfortable balancing people leadership with production delivery requirements
    * Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and capacity management
    * Data-driven approach using KPIs to improve performance and decision-making
    * Confident communicator with the ability to drive accountability across teams
    * Hands-on, practical leadership style.
