How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Setter / Operator (Milling) - Aerospace Industry | 4-Day Working Week

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a leading specialist manufacturer within the Aerospace industry based near Preston.

    The Role

    Working as part of a small, skilled team, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality aerospace components to exacting standards.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Setting and operating a variety of CNC milling machines
    Manufacturing precision components for the aerospace sector
    Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
    Carrying out tool changes and machine adjustments as required
    Conducting quality inspections to ensure components meet specification
    Working safely and efficiently within a team environment

    What We're Looking For
    Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    Experience working within a precision engineering environment
    Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop

    Salary & Benefits
    £17.00 - £18.00 per hour
    4-day working week
    25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
