How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role:
    Vocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a small and welcoming primary school in Enfield to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026. Interviews are taking place immediately.

    This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 1 and Year 3 with additional needs. The role will involve working closely with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them access learning, manage routines, and develop positive relationships within the classroom environment.

    The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with ASD and be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent behaviour strategies. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Key Responsibilities for the SEND Teaching Assistant role:

    • Promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation
    • Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
    • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff

    • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
    • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times

    Requirements for the SEND Teaching Assistant role:
    • Previous experience supporting children with ASD is essential
