How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Tutors Wanted Across Cheshire East & Cheshire West

    Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting Tutors to provide 1:1 educational support for children and young people across Cheshire East and Cheshire West.
    Working through local authority and school-funded provision, you will support pupils who require additional intervention outside of mainstream education, delivering sessions in homes, libraries, and community venues.

    About the Role

    You will work with learners who may:

    Have EHCPs
    Require alternative provision
    Experience anxiety or school avoidance
    Have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
    Need additional academic intervention
    All tuition is delivered on a personalised 1:1 basis, helping pupils build confidence, engagement, and academic progress.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

    Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
