About the Role
Spencer Clarke Group is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.
As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment while working alongside experienced teaching and pastoral staff.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional needs
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and intervention strategies
Support students in accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and other professionals to meet students' individual needs
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback where required
Support classroom activities and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school-based experience
Passion for supporting young people with diverse learning needs
Ability to engage, motivate, and build positive relationships with students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning
Experience working within a secondary school environment is desirable
