How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Agricultural Engineer – A/C Service Equipment (Workshop & Field Service)

    Role summary

We are seeking an Agricultural Engineer to join a specialist team supporting air-conditioning (A/C) systems used in agricultural and off-highway machinery. This is a hands-on, workshop-first role focused on building, assembling, diagnosing, fixing, and repairing A/C regas units (A/C service machines) and assembling application-specific A/C kits for customers. You will also have opportunities to carry out field service work at customer sites, including installation/commissioning support and technical troubleshooting.

This role is best suited to someone who already understands mobile A/C systems from either the automotive or agricultural sector or who can demonstrate strong transferable skills and is ready to gain the required mobile A/C refrigerant-handling qualification.

    Working pattern

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Core responsibilities

You will spend most days in the workshop, with planned customer-site visits when required.

In the workshop you will assemble, test, service, and repair A/C regas units/service machines used for mobile A/C work. This typically includes diagnosing faults through functional test cycles, restoring performance (vacuum integrity, hose/connection integrity, sensor accuracy), replacing service consumables, and returning units to service with clear documentation.

You will sometimes support the field service team at customer sites. This can include delivering/commissioning new A/C service machines, troubleshooting a customer’s machine setup, and providing practical user guidance on correct operating process and safe handling.

You will maintain clear job records (work completed, parts used, test results, and customer-facing reports where required).

    What we are looking for

    • Experience or strong working knowledge of mobile A/C systems from automotive, construction, plant, or off-highway equipment
    • Practical engineering skills with mechanical assemblies, fittings and seals, and basic electrical fault-finding
    • Confidence using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
    • Clear, professional communication skills for workshop and customer-site interaction
    • An organised, methodical approach to work and documentation

    Qualifications

    • Mobile A/C refrigerant-handling qualification held or willingness to obtain it quickly
    • Understanding of safe working practices around modern refrigerants

    About the Company

Our client is a long-established supplier of air conditioning regas units and service solutions to the agricultural and automotive sectors. They pride themselves on delivering high standards of customer service, backed by knowledgeable staff and a comprehensive product range
