How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Temp to Perm Electrical Engineer

    Location: King’s Cross, London
    Salary: £48,000 per annum / £23.08 per hour PAYE equivalent based on a 40-hour week
    Contract: Temp to Perm
    Start: Immediate

    We are currently recruiting for an immediately available Electrical Engineer to join a global leading Facilities Management provider on a high-profile commercial site in London King’s Cross.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer to secure a temp-to-perm position with a business that is expanding rapidly across the UK. The successful candidate will initially join on an hourly temp basis, with the role converting to a permanent position at £48,000 per annum.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a modern commercial building, ensuring all electrical and mechanical plant is maintained to a high standard.

    Duties will include:

    * Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across the site

    * Working on building services equipment including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, lighting, emergency lighting and general electrical systems

    * Basic fault-finding across mechanical plant and associated electrical controls

    * Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and site standards

    * Updating and completing tasks using CAFM systems

    * Liaising with the client, helpdesk and wider engineering team

    * Supporting contractors and ensuring works are completed safely and professionally

    * Maintaining high standards across a busy, client-facing commercial environment

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Electrical maintenance experience within commercial building services / FM

    * Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance

    * Experience working on systems such as AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant

    * CAFM system experience

    * City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

    * 18th Edition preferred

    * Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing approach

    * Availability to start immediately or at short notice
