How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Field Sales Representative (Conveyor & Vulcanising Solutions)
    Location: Northern England (Field-Based)

    About the Role
    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Sales Representative to join our clients growing team, covering the North of England. This is a customer-facing, on-the-road role focused on developing new business and managing existing accounts within industries requiring conveyor belt solutions.

    The ideal candidate will come from a belt vulcanising or conveyor maintenance background, bringing both technical expertise and commercial awareness to identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
     
    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and manage a portfolio of customers across the North of England
    Identify and win new business opportunities within quarrying, recycling, manufacturing, aggregates, and related sectors
    Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of service and repeat business
    Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and provide technical recommendations
    Prepare and present quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales
    Work closely with internal operations and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
    Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments
    Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs Candidate Requirements

    Previous experience in a field sales role or strong commercial mindset
    Essential or highly desirable: background in belt vulcanising, conveyor systems, or related mechanical/industrial services
    Strong technical understanding of conveyor belts, splicing, and maintenance
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on the road
