How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Lead Heat Pump Installer – Overview

    We are working with the UK’s primary developer, installer and operator of Heat Pump Networks and standalone commercial scale Heat Pumps. They are looking for a Lead Installer to join their design and build department, leading on both ground and air source heat pump installs.

    Within this role, you will be working on small scale new build projects where up to 20 properties will be connected to the same borehole network. The company do everything in house, including digging the boreholes, laying the main large diameter pipework which each property will then be connected too. Your team will only work in the properties, installing the Ground Source Heat Pump unit, radiators, cylinders and other associated systems.

    As well as these projects, you will install larger Air and Ground Source in large scale/high end domestic properties. You will lead the team, with your focus being on the Heat Pump unit and commissioning and the supporting Plumbers/Juniors focused on the pipework and radiator installs.

    The company are massive on training and development and are going from strength to strength. They have just secured £100million investment and are scaling rapidly, with a lot of this investment going into their installation side. This role will start as Lead Installer but there will definitely be room to move up as the division grows.

    Lead Heat Pump Installer – Requirements

    * Previous experience installing both Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps

    * Experienced on all aspects of heat pump installs
