About the Role
We are looking for experienced, reliable Shuttering Joiners to join a major commercial and civil engineering project in Edinburgh. If you are a skilled formwork carpenter who takes pride in structural accuracy and wants a steady, long-term run of work, we want to hear from you.
This is a fast-paced environment working on large-scale concrete structures, offering excellent hours and a competitive rate.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up and erecting various formwork systems (traditional timber, proprietary panel systems like Doka/Peri, etc.).
Constructing shuttering for foundations, retaining walls, columns, and concrete slabs to precise engineering drawings.
Ensuring all formwork is securely braced and ready to withstand heavy concrete pours.
Striking and dismantling shuttering safely post-pour, preparing materials for reuse.
Working closely with the groundworks crew, steelfixers, and site management to maintain tight project schedules.
Requirements
CSCS Card: Blue Skilled Card in Formwork/Shuttering Joinery is preferred.
Experience: Proven track record as a Shuttering Joiner on commercial, high-rise, or civil engineering sites.
Tools: Full kit of standard joinery hand tools and battery tools, along with full PPE.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work well as part of an experienced gang.
References: Able to provide recent, checkable work references.
