How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quality Lead

    Manufacturing Environment | Full Time | West Yorkshire
    Salary £35-£45k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

    Are you a hands-on quality professional who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and making a visible impact on operational performance?

    We're partnering with a growing UK manufacturer seeking a Quality Lead to drive improvements in product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational standards across a busy manufacturing and distribution operation.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, working closely with operational teams, and leading quality improvements that deliver measurable business results.

    The Opportunity

    Reporting into senior operations leadership, you'll play a key role in reducing defects, rework, customer complaints, and service failures by establishing clear quality standards and ensuring they become embedded within day-to-day operations.

    You'll work across production, supply chain, logistics, and customer service functions, helping create a culture where quality is understood, owned, and continuously improved.

    This role would suit a Quality Lead, Quality Engineer, Quality Coordinator, Continuous Improvement professional, or Manufacturing Quality Specialist looking to take ownership of quality performance within a growing business.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Define and implement clear quality standards across products, materials, and operational processes.

    * Act as a visible shop-floor presence, supporting teams and identifying quality issues before they escalate.

    * Lead investigations into defects, customer complaints, and operational failures.

    * Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.

    * Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage quality concerns and non-conforming materials.

    * Improve first-time-right performance and reduce rework across operations.

    * Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

    * Support continuous improvement projects focused on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

    * Train, coach, and develop teams to improve quality awareness and accountability.

    * Help create a positive quality culture focused on learning, improvement, and ownership.

    About You

    * Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.

    * Proven ability to identify quality issues and drive practical improvements.

    * Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

    * Comfortable working directly with operational teams in a hands-on capacity.

    * Ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels of the business.

    * Experience reducing defects, complaints, rework, or service failures.

    * Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

    * Positive attitude with a genuine desire to improve processes and standards.

    What's on Offer

    * Competitive salary, dependent on experience.

    * Annual performance-related bonus opportunities.

    * Enhanced holiday allowance with additional service-related increases.

    * Holiday purchase scheme.

    * Employee discounts.

    * Cycle-to-work scheme.

    * Employee Assistance Programme.

    * Reward and recognition initiatives.

    * Ongoing training and development opportunities.

    * Stable employment within a growing and ambitious manufacturing business.

    * Genuine opportunity to influence quality standards and make a lasting impact.

    Why Apply?

    This is a role for someone who wants to be more than a quality administrator. You'll be empowered to get onto the shop floor, challenge existing ways of working, solve problems at their source, and help build a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

    If you're passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality products and customer experiences, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.

    This version is optimised for LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases and job boards, positioning the role as a proactive quality improvement opportunity rather than a traditional QA/compliance position, which typically generates stronger candidate engagement
