How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    PE Teacher – SEMH School (Immediate Start)
    Are you a QTS PE Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage young people who face barriers to education? Do you have the resilience, creativity and classroom management skills needed to work within a specialist SEMH setting? This SEMH school is looking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher for an immediate start.

    As a PE Teacher, you will teach small groups of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that promote physical wellbeing, teamwork, resilience and self-confidence. Many students have experienced challenges within mainstream education, and PE plays a vital role in helping them develop positive relationships, improve emotional regulation and achieve success.

    You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff and senior leaders to create a structured and supportive environment where students can thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a difference and using sport as a tool for engagement and personal development.

    Job Role:

    Teaching PE to small classes of students with SEMH needs
    Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons
    Promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork and resilience
    Building positive relationships with students to encourage participation
    Managing behaviour using consistent and positive strategies
    Working closely with Teaching Assistants and pastoral teams
    Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
    Supporting students' personal, social and emotional developmentIn Return You Will:
