How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Executive Search & Life Sciences

    Location: Manchester (Office-Based)

    Company: QP Group

QP Group is a specialist executive search firm supporting some of the world's leading life sciences, healthcare technology, AI, data, and software businesses.

We're looking for a commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to build and manage our outbound business development engine. This is a pure new-business role focused on opening doors, generating opportunities, and creating relationships with prospective clients across the US and Europe.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build targeted prospect lists and outbound campaigns.
    • Generate meetings with hiring leaders, founders, and executives.
    • Secure opportunities for executive search mandates, retained search projects, and large-scale hiring programmes.
    • Develop relationships that lead to preferred supplier agreements (PSAs), service level agreements (SLAs), and long-term partnerships.
    • Manage outbound activity across LinkedIn, email, phone, and events.
    • Work closely with leadership to refine messaging, market strategy, and target accounts.
    • Track pipeline activity and performance through CRM systems.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in SDR, BDR, or B2B sales.
    • Comfortable with cold outreach and high-volume business development.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Highly organised with a process-driven approach.
    • Ambitious, resilient, and motivated by commercial success.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Consistent generation of qualified client meetings.
    • Creation of new retained search and recruitment opportunities.
    • Establishment of strategic client relationships and supplier agreements.
    • Building a scalable outbound sales process that supports the firm's continued growth.

This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing areas of QP Group and play a key role in driving new client acquisition across the global life sciences market.
