A leading Real Estate Investment management business is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory submissions across multiple legal entities. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, group consolidation, audit, regulatory compliance, and senior‑level stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead financial control and monthly reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS, including internal and group submissions.
- Manage tax and regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
- Oversee third‑party service providers and support senior finance leadership as required.
- Manage month‑end close activities, including reconciliations, journals, variance analysis, and performance commentary.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts, forecasts, submissions, and shareholder distributions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and 5‑year forecast, presenting to senior leadership and monitoring performance against plan.
- Produce quarterly board reporting packs, including financial analysis and insights.
Audit, Governance & Risk
- Oversee the annual audit process and quarterly profit verification.
- Prepare and present the annual ICARA modelling.
Group Reporting
- Manage monthly reporting to the parent group, including consolidation, IFRS adjustments, and submission of financial information.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in financial control, management reporting, and budgeting/forecasting.
- Experience within real estate investment management, or a regulated environment.
- Confident working with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.
